About
A small, senior team you would be trusting.
Sterling is a communications house, not a content factory. The people you meet are the people who do the work — there is no account-handling layer between you and us.
Why Sterling exists
Sterling was founded on a simple observation: the organisations with the most to lose from social media were being served by the agencies least equipped to understand that. Care providers handed to junior account executives. Advisers given content their compliance officers winced at. Firms told to be “more playful”.
We built the opposite: a small firm with the temperament of an established communications house, applied to the channels where reputations are now made and lost. Editorial standards, approval discipline, and the confidence to tell a client when a post is unwise.
How we work
Deliberately few clients, looked after properly. Every account is led by a senior person, every post passes an editorial second reading, and every month ends with a plain account of what we did with your money. We would rather grow slowly than dilute that.
“What you say in public should be as considered as what you say in the boardroom.”
What we hold to
Four working principles.
I
Judgement over volume
We publish less than most agencies and stand behind every word of it.
II
Approval without exception
Nothing appears in public that you have not seen. There are no exceptions to write here.
III
Discretion as reflex
If something should not be public, it never will be — and we will say so before you have to.
IV
Plain accounts
Honest reporting, honest fees, and honest advice when something is not working.
Start with a conversation, not a contract.
A half-hour call. We will listen, tell you honestly whether we can help, and put anything we propose in writing. No obligation, no follow-up campaign.
